We meet to critique submissions every other Monday at the Panera Bread in Anderson (there's good space, lighting, seats and free wi-fi). Come learn from and t …
This group is about writing and the craft of fiction. Anybody can put keyboard/pen in hand, B-I-C, and write, but to study the craft means to create a work of art. This group is about people who are serious about studying the craft--people who want to produce their best possible work. It's also about sharing information and helping each other learn, as well. Let's have fun, share information, and prepare to create, but bring your patience--it's expected. Haters need not apply. We're all in this …
Creativity, inspiration and imagination must come from within...but none of this will come across on the written page without craft. Whether you are writing your first short story, or working on a 150,000 word manuscript, you'll find yourself needing to have answers to your questions and interaction with other writers. These mini-workshops will keep you on track as you discover and realize your dream of becoming a writer of fine fiction. Subjects we'll be covering during these weekly meetups are …
I don't know about you, but I have written an entire novel. And it is brilliant. The problem is, the entire thing still lives in my head. I have started, stopped, started stopped so many times it's driving me crazy. Also, I have little to no feedback and would love to talk and listen about plot, ideas, critiques and encouragement. This is the first group I've started so I have no rules or activities, just have fun and write. I would love to hear your ideas as much as tell you mine.

This club is open to all with a strong interest in reading, writing, critiquing, revising, and, when all is said and done, submitting for publication; the right way. Whether a beginner or a seasoned professional, we will learn from each other in a way that will prosper us all. We will read and critique works by published authors to learn what works and what doesn't. We will read and critique each others work. We will work with prompts to help us generate ideas for stories and to jump start those …

This meetup is for writers of ALL types of genres. Whether you are a poet or a prosaist, a graphic novelist or a children's book author, each is a storyteller with a need for an audience. Why join this group? There are poetry groups or exclusive reading groups - but none like this in the area. We are social but we are there to learn from each other and we take writing fiction seriously. However, critiques are kind and painless. What should you bring to a meeting? Copies of your writing and a pen …
This is an established, albeit small, critique group. Most of us are working on novels. We're hoping to add a few perceptive readers and talented writers to our circle. We operate very informally. Between meetings we trade chapters or excerpts, and when we meet, we discuss the work and give each other feedback. We attempt to address overall structural/plausibility issues as well as minor stylistic issues. Genre fiction is welcome, and we've discussed short fiction, poetry, and screenplays in the …
