This is a support group for new writers of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. You must want to write and be published. Biweekly activities will involve creative writing exercises, journaling, reading and discussion of work, personal goal setting, finding reference materials important to your writing, discussing books important to writers, and non-writing activities to inspire your creativity. I would like to start a community for writers and artists with the goal of exploring, understanding, and working through creative blocks. This will not be a critique group, but a place to meet, share with, celebrate, and support one another. You might just be starting out in your craft or established. It doesn’t matter what type of writer or artist you might be. Our starting point might be The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. We would meet monthly in the Elizabethtown/Mt Joy area.

A group of fiction writers from Frederick (and beyond!) who want to workshop their writing and learn from each other about the craft.
