Wanted: A core group of writers experienced in the art of reading, writing, and critiquing. Looking for other serious, committed, published or publishable literary writers who also want or need the structure of a group--or a little push--to keep writing, submitting, and publishing. A writing degree certainly helps--everyone is at the same base level of knowledge, if not skill, but isn't a requirement. We are a group of poets, fiction, and nonfiction writers, most of whom have at least one writin …
There's lots of great poets and readings in Santa Fe. Although I'm not a poet I've hosted poetry readings with featured poets for the past 12 years. People are always asking me what is going on around town and Meetup is a great venue to list the events and strengthen the poetry community.

We are planning a literary journal for the Albuquerque area as well as a summer reading series. Please don't be shy! Jump in and attend one of our Mee …

We then pass the Talking Stick (or mic) around for anyone who wants to read. We don't …
This will be a bi-weekly meeting of writers serious about producing and publishing quality work. The first meeting will be spent discussing goals and rules of the group. Homework in the form of a critique of members' submitted work will be discussed. Respectful and honest feedback will be a hallmark of the group. Bring a writing sample to the first meeting; it is not necessary to have published work in order to join this group.
