Writing Church is for you if you’re: a Sinner: You don’t write but you know you should. a Saint: You write three times daily. an Atheist: You don’t believe you’re a writer. an Agnostic: You don’t believe you’re a writer or not a writer. Malcolm Gladwell, in Outliers: The Story of Success, says it takes 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to master a skill. For the hell (or heaven) of it, we’ll meet regularly/religiously to prostrate ourselves before the blank page and generate lots of origin …
The primary role of this group is to provide useful critiques. We further help each other grow as writers through presentations on writing topics, as well as practical application through writing exercises.

There's a group for writers but they're all 40-50 years old, there's a group for artsy folks (I'm assuming, I don't know this for a fact), there's a group for twenty somethings but all they do is the geeks who drink circuit, but there's no group for creatively persuaded 20 somethings who like to drink coffee and shoot the shit about stuff (be it intellectual fodder, books, art, music or just whatever), So I decided to start one. I guess this is really just a veiled attempt to make some like mind …

There's nothing quite as wonderful as a group of people creating together and establishing friendships over a sip...whether it's Guinness, tea or wine. This group is an opportunity to meet like-minded, creative folks who live in or near the Boulder area. I have found that having a group that meets regularly can assist in the completion of projects that have been languishing in the closet. Anyone with a creative talent is encouraged to join. Knitters, writers, jewelery makers, art journalers, art …

… I offer a monthly literary salon that gives members a chance to connect and talk about writing and publishing. I am also launching the Flatirons Literary Review, another of my business projects, which will give BWW members and my coaching clients a way to build their professional platform by being involved in a publishing venture, through contributing articles, being a reader, editing a department or helping with administrative tasks. I have some other great offerings in the works--including a …

The idea is that we will meet at a cafe in or near Longmont to write for an hour and a half or two, and then if people want to stay to chat about what they've written, get feedback, just say hello, they can stay. Once the group gets going, I'd like to invite established authors to come talk to us about th …

I am a serious writer in need of a serious but fun critique group. I love to critique and I am in need of critiquers. I would like to open the group up to writing exercises, talking about writing, help brainstorming ideas or bouncing off ideas, and just to be surrounded by those who enjoy the torture and pleasure of writing as much as I do.
The Louisville Writer's Workshop is a group for writers of all levels from any genre. This is a place for writers in the community to come together to critique each other's work and participate in discussions of all things writing, from generating ideas to plot, structure and character development to publishing. The group will be facilitated by Rachel Weaver, MFA.

The Boulder Creative Conferences brings together the magazine and book industries' top photographers, writers, authors, book editors, photo editors, and magazine editors to teach local writers and photographers the art and soul of their craft, as well as how to break into the business.
