The Leeds writers group was set up to allow local writers to give and receive feedback on novels, short stories and poetry in a structured but relaxed environment. It's for complete beginners to experienced writers to share advice, tips and experience. We're also starting to run workshops and have socials for people to chat about their writing and poetry in a more informal way.
The Artist's Way Course is based on the book by Julia Cameron. It takes the form of a weekly session over twelve weeks, addressing the central issue of how to unlock your own individual creativity. Perhaps you have always wanted to paint, write, or dream, but never felt able to allow yourself the time and space to do it. This course aims to enable you to find that space.Naomi will guide participants through the stages outlined in the book, with practical work and progress shared within a small, …

I have initiated this meet up, as I notice that some people in London have started a similar group, and I like the sound of it! The purpose will be for people who write poems, or short stories, to come along to an Oxford restaurant, and share there outpourings, with a view to entertain, and also be entertained by fellow diners. You may just have a funny story to share, fictional or true with the rest of the group. If you just want to come along and hopefully be entertained, again that is absolut …

This is a group for writers. Writing can be a rather isolated experience, so I've set up this group to get people together to share tips and experiences. Representatives of new ways of writing and getting work out there (such as blogging and self-publishing) are welcome. Whether you are a novelist, journalist, non-fiction writer or blogger come along and meet up! Please note. The ethos of the group is collaborative. Please contribute fairly, rather than just trying to sell your own work. Members …

This is a study group for anyone interested in decoding and working with dreams, whether for personal interest or for the development of professional knowledge. Paying close attention to dreams is useful because they can help us to reach into deeper levels of self-awareness. The language they use, however, is in codes: revealing, warning, helping and guiding us through our continually evolving life circumstances. But what do these codes actually mean and how do we go about decoding them? Why no …
